Get an alert when a name appears in a new federal case

A name alert is an automatic email about a company's name: you register the name and, each time a new docket entry in the courts Juricio reads names that company as a party, Juricio emails you the entry, the case and a link to it. It works going forward, from the day you create it.

Going forward only

An alert watches the entries Juricio reads from the moment you create it. It does not look back: to see the cases that already name a company, search for it.

Companies by name, people by initials

Without an account, the search shows companies by name and people by initials. Signed in, you see the caption as the court published it. In lists of Harris County cases, people always appear by initials.

Alerts on a person's name

Alerts on a natural person's name are for verified attorneys with the purpose they declared when they were verified, never for screening anyone. Attorneys can request verification by writing to contacto@juricio.com.

Not a background check

Juricio search results, alerts and AI answers are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and must not be used to decide on anyone's employment, housing, credit or insurance: those decisions go through a dedicated FCRA-compliant screening service.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act governs consumer reports, such as those of credit bureaus and tenant screening services, and their use for credit, insurance or employment (Federal Trade Commission).

If an organization goes over a limit, for example when a term ends, the followed cases and name alerts beyond it are paused, not deleted. The oldest stay active.

Questions about name alerts

Can I set an alert on a person's name?

Only verified attorneys with a declared purpose can, and never to screen anyone. Any signed-in member can set an alert on a company's name.

Does an alert find cases filed before I created it?

No. It watches the entries Juricio reads from the moment you create it. Search the name to see the cases that already mention it.

Does a match mean it is the same company or person?

No. A name alert is a literal match with the published name; identity is not verified. Check the case before drawing any conclusion.

Can I use name alerts to screen a tenant or an employee?

No. Juricio search results, alerts and AI answers are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and must not be used to decide on anyone's employment, housing, credit or insurance: those decisions go through a dedicated FCRA-compliant screening service.

Which courts do name alerts cover?

The 168 federal district and bankruptcy courts whose RSS feed Juricio reads, and the Harris County courts Juricio covers. 18 courts publish no feed, so no alert can come from them.

How many name alerts can I have?

It depends on the plan: none on Free, 5 on Solo, 15 on Firm, 50 on Scale and unlimited on Enterprise.
